Skeggard Stainless Steel Skeg Guard
Made from marine grade stainless steel and built in America. This skeg guard is the perfect product to repair your broken skeg to like new conditions. The skeg guard easily slides onto a new or broken skeg like a cap. No welding required, the skeg guard taps into place. Two holes are placed in the skeg guard for ready and easy installation with the included hardware kit. The included bolts used to install the skeg are made specially to shear in the event of a severe impact. Whether your want to repair your damaged skeg or protect your new one, Skeggard has you covered!

How to Install Skeggard:
- Make sure you have 2-3" of skeg remaining. Prepare skeg of the lower unit by filing or sanding rough or jagged edges.
- Install the Skeggard onto the new or damaged skeg. Tap into place with a rubber mallet or block of wood. DO NOT FORCE!
- Use the predrilled holes as guides and drill through your skeg using a 1/4" drill bit. Install the hardware through the Skeggard only finger tight
- Hardware must tighten against the sides of the Skeggard.
- Remove the hardware and apply the supplied LOCTITE. Shake well before use and ensure threads are clean.
- To open LOCTITE snap the tube neck below the end cape. Apply to threaded areas, assemble hardware, and tighten securely.
- You MUST wait 24 hours to allow LOCTITE to fully cure. Failure to do so may result in loss of product and incomplete repair.
