Quicksilver Mercury/Mercruiser 35-866340Q03 Oil Filter
The Mercury/Mercruiser Quicksilver 866340Q03 Oil Filter fits all Mercury MerCruiser and Mercury inboard engines, except V-6 models with the filter mounted on the engine block. This oil filter features a metal shell that is over 50% thicker than conventional filters with a durable paint finish to resist corrosion even in saltwater environments.
Using the Quicksilver Mercruiser Oil Filter, Wholesale Marine recommends that you change your oil filter after every 100 hours of normal use or minimally once per season.
Continued use of the Quicksilver Mercruiser Oil Filter at every oil change will help to extend the service life of your boat engine.

Quicksilver 866340Q03 Oil Filter Installation Instructions
- Unscrew old filter and clean mounting base. Be sure old gasket is removed from mounting base
- Apply a thin coat of oil to the filter gasket. Make sure the gasket is seated properly in base of the Quicksilver Mercruiser Oil Filter.
- Screw on until the gasket contacts the base. Tighten 1 - 1-1/4 turn
- Use an acceptable filter wrench if necessary. Do NOT exceed 1 - 1-1/4 turn
- Refill the crankcase and run the engine while checking for leaks
- Check oil level
