The BOW PRO thrusters incorporate established induction technology, rendering carbon brushes unnecessary. Consequently, the bow thruster operates quietly and with an unlimited runtime. The (AC) induction motor is managed by the VETUS MCV motor controller, engineered in-house to accommodate 12V, 24V, and AC motors, thus ensuring compatibility with most boats. Control of the BOW PRO thruster is facilitated through a proprietary CANBUS protocol.
Two panel options are available: a basic panel with full proportional control, and another with added lock function, enabling effortless mooring without ropes, simplifying passenger boarding. Retaining key features from previous models, such as the remarkably silent propeller blades and streamlined tailpiece, ensures a seamless transition when retrofitting a BOW PRO thruster, as the new motor is interchangeable with existing components in our thruster range.
